So I decided to have this day to myself. Think of it as a 1-day holiday within my months-long holiday. This is roughly how it went:

1. Board 98 (still evaluating the “Umbrella incident“; came out with this theory that if I can trace the steps that I should have taken, it will already be too slow; to execute steps fast enough to be effective, they must “render” so fast that my brain is unable to “log” my actions; eventually, the limit of neat-instant execution will result in what they term, “acting on instinct“; Interesting…)

Sometimes a long wait allows one to explore unforeseen options.

2. Arrive @ Aroy-Thai, Shaw Tower with intent. Bad timing, clash with office lunch-break hour. “Permitted” to secure one seat after 20mins of waiting. Next, more waiting, which allows me to take photo of the cookie shop opposite. Food ain’t as cheap or as good as I recalled. Hmm…lack of right company?

3. Cookie Museum, for tea. Lovely as I remembered. Managed to escape any awkward small talk with lady boss. Having a nice time testing S’s BBoM connectivity until a former acquaintance interrupted. Cut short my tea to rendezvous with C-I-L for short webcam shopping trip.

Ss 1mbps BBoM connection. @ Funan foodcourt. If I go any faster, itll be illegal.

4. Helped a senior citizen update his passbook & withdraw cash at POSB branch outside CPF Bldg, Jurong. He “kindly” remind me not to peek while he input his PIN even though I was looking at the open road. It’s al right, I wun believe me either, even though I’m helping you. Tells myself, it’s al right, again. Always ponder why strangers wanna approach me for assistance even though I have my earphones on. Ponder even more on why my dialect proficiency is never enough to converse properly with my relatives but is just nice to render assistance to random passer-bys on the streets.

Bought more tea. Which turns out to be very useful.

Ain’t half bad. Nothing fancy. Ha! Story of my life, “nothing fancy”. Must prevent Umbrella incident.
