If u need a good blend of laughter + romance, u must definitely catch “What Happens in Vegas“! Well, besides the dashing Ashton Kutcher, I also love Cameron Diaz’s evening gown look, she’s dazzling

Particularly, I remembered this quote from the movie ‘I rather dun do anything than doing something that i dun like doing’ Hmm… and yes, there are countless hilarious scenes, even during the court scene ;p

Ate dinner ard 9pm at Sakae Teppanyaki @ Cineleisure. Set against the backdrop of contemporary elegance, this is the place to be for teppanyaki lovers who want to indulge in a premium range of dishes at value-for money prices.

All the dishes are delicious & the Chef’s skill is great!

Super satisfying… We ordered the seafood set & beef set (approx $45 in total), which includes chewy cuttlefish, prawns, bamboo clams, melt-in-the-mouth foie gras, beef cubes, teriyaki chicken, fresh mushrooms and vegetables.

Something to mention is their unique Seafood Chawanmushi which uses an onion as a bowl…

the Hamilton Viewmatic

Hamilton is an American watch company with Swiss connections; the company is part of the Swatch Group. Therefore, quality and style are the highest priorities. The new Hamilton Viewmatic Automatic is no exception with its impeccable form and function. It comes in a stainless steel case that measures 40mm and is water resistant to 50 meters. Its movement is automatic ETA caliber 2895 with 27 jewels and has a power reserve of 48 hours.

Btw, there’re several versions of the Viewmatic, I feel that the variant at the very top of this post is the nicest; due to the minimal amount of rose gold accent (not too much to look overly Rolex-ish, but just enough to give the watch some color in all the right places). The inter-looping also gives the dial some design without overwhelming the underlying elegance. The other 2 also featured in this post may or may not be to your liking; for me, these bottom 2 didn’t have the 2 lovely design flairs I commended for the 1st one. Price is around SGD$1, 100.

…which I did not cause in anyway, is like stepping into a lift when its previous occupants had been smoking in. The lift goes on up, but you can’t help but wonder if the 4 walls are closing in as the lingering exhaust wrought its strangle-hold on you, like some form of sadistic, prolonged mental torture.

I dun give a damn if you die, just dun bring anyone else along with you. If you have no heart, grow a brain at least. Read the freaking sign in the lift.

My last McDelivery

I’ve been ordering McDelivery via MobileSafari (read: iPod Touch web browser) for a while already. Recently, have gone sick of their fries which tastes rather bland. On that note: I’ve tried (twice), but realize I really can’t appreciate the McGriddle burger. So I guess that’s all for McDonald’s & me. For now.

On hind-sight, they are amazingly quick on their delivery.

You may jolly well add this to my existing list of dun-watch-will-die movies…& and erm, Jet Li, is in it! Along with Michelle Yeoh. More stills below:

And of course, we have a trailer here too!

En route. Dun be mistaken by that look. Beneath that calm composure lies the nerves of steel

The obligatory victory sign. Before the victory

Weather is hot

Burn! Rubber, burn!!!!!!!!!!

Job done = ice-cream. Mango sorbet pls, shaken, not stirred

And now, let us view the replay in “slow-mo”:

Last day – Year 2 Sem 2

So today saw my last paper, MNO1001, occurring. It was a very enjoyable piece of challenge, which is much less than what I can say of my prior Herculean “quests” 2 weeks back. On a side-note I thought my helpsheet was “power-PACKED” enough, but when I hit the exam floor, there were many more helpsheets that were way more “occupied”! And what do ya know, the ultimate contender is completely hand-written!

Anyway, as usual, somebody’s mobile phone had to go off during the paper. You know, that triggers a thought: each developing country always boast of their wonderful leading institutions, be it educational, healthcare, etc. But how come up till now I’ve not yet heard of buildings that power off or “silence” mobile (transmitting) devices when such operations could be inconveniencing/threatening to the people within the vicinity? You may argue, will there be a demand huge enough for buildings to have such a feature retro-fitted? Well, unless your country don’t have the following facilities (these 6 prominent instances are what I can conjure off the top of my mind, where such a technically-enforced policy can be very useful):

  • Hospitals
  • Petrol stations
  • Cinemas & performance theaters
  • Examination halls
  • Libraries
  • Law courts

So apparently no country in the world has done it yet. Thus every country’s developing alright, they’re just not developing things that aid in a safer & more pleasant working/living environment for its citizens?

You may argue: what if emergency calls are required @ such places? Well, permanently-affixed land-lines like those you found on autobahns (highways) lor.

On a side-side-note, why can’t a prestigious academic institutions like NUS build an air-conditioned holding area in front of multi-purpose sports hall 1-6? Especially when the university jolly well knows EVERY half-a-year exam candidates’ll DEFINITELY amass there while waiting for their papers to commence.

Haiz, all these nagging questions can be answered much less with rocket science than common sense & logic…but I guess we’re all a bit short of the latter nowadays 😦

P.S. On a side-side-side-note: during the last lecture of MNO1001, everybody clapped. I just realized nobody ever claps during the last lecture of CS modules. Perhaps this has to do with the fact that even after the last CS lectures, there’ll always be on-progress deadlines. Double haiz.
